●Watanabe's Kenta Watanabe Profile Born in Yamagata Prefecture. Based in Kamiita Town, Tokushima Prefecture, known as the birthplace of Awa indigo, he cultivates indigo, makes sukumo (a type of dye), dyes, and manufactures products. While preserving the good old Japanese traditions, he is active both domestically and internationally in a wide range of areas, aiming to promote indigo in a new way.
Composting, soil preparation, sowing seeds, raising seedlings, cultivating, making flowers, preparing dye solutions...
Watanabe's indigo is a by-product of working with all the people involved and with passion in every process. As a color that is close to life, we think about creating things that will fit into people's lives.
