Activities to promote aprons in New York began in 2007.
His activities were well received, and he was able to hold a solo exhibition at the Consulate General of Japan in New York Gallery.
The exhibition featured everything from old Japanese aprons to modern art aprons, and also showed a DVD about their manufacture in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture.
