Event Details
CRAFTED CONNECTIONS is an event that brings together artisanal techniques and domestic and international brands.
This is the first time the event has been held, and the theme is "Stories infused with the skill of artisans."
By adding artisanal coloring techniques such as dyeing, painting, and pasting to everyday products such as clothing, furniture, bicycles, and tableware, we create new stories in our lives.
In addition to the advance exhibition and sale of special-order items, the venue will also feature an installation that allows visitors to experience the evolution of artisan techniques through materials, tools, and past products. Visitors can experience the charm of crafts in Ginza, where tradition and innovation intersect.
Our lineup includes our standard product, the aprons, as well as the MAEKAKE JACKET, which was released last year and has been well received both domestically and internationally.
As original items for this project, the aprons and jackets have been given a sun-fade treatment, an attempt to "incorporate the passage of time into the design itself." The uneven fading is the result of the experience and intuition of the craftsmen who processed them. The combination of natural phenomena and human skill has transformed these items into pieces that go beyond mere workwear and can be passed down through the generations in everyday life.
