One-Night-Only Talk & Tasting Event
KATO SAKE WORKS × ANYTHING
KATO SAKE WORKS, which brews sake in Brooklyn, New York, and Enishing, which brings the traditional Japanese work apron, the “maekake,” to the world.
This special evening brings together two companies taking on the world to discuss the excitement of challenging the global stage from Japan and the journeys they’ve taken.
Our guest for this event is Shinobu Kato, CEO of KATO SAKE WORKS, who continues to pursue the rare challenge of “brewing sake in Brooklyn.” We first met Mr. Kato in 2020 through a mutual acquaintance, and our relationship began when we created a MAEKAKE featuring his original logo.
Our connection has continued since then, and in March of this year, we held a MAEKAKE exhibition event at his brewery in Brooklyn. This event at the Shinjuku Gyoen store marks the second installment of that series.
Hosted by Tsukasa Nishimura, CEO of Anything, we hope you’ll enjoy tasting Kato Sake Works’ sake—shipped all the way from New York—while learning about Mr. Kato’s entrepreneurial journey, the excitement of taking on challenges overseas, and the stories behind both the sake and the aprons, as well as the passion of their respective creators.

*If you need to cancel, please contact us by the day before the event. For same-day cancellations or no-shows, 100% of the participation fee will be charged.
*If the event is canceled due to circumstances beyond the organizer’s control, the full participation fee will be refunded.
