We were featured in the local Koganei free paper "184 Magazine"!
Featured on the cover are six huge sunshade curtains made from indigo-dyed apron fabric by Kanesa-ya, a vegetable direct sales store.
With Mr. Yamanaka and other students from Hosei University Graduate School,
The apron fabric is dyed in Hanyu, Saitama, a region famous for its indigo dyeing.
After that, the vegetable shapes are carved by hand,
The "dyeing" process was also all done by hand by the students.
The indigo color is really beautiful. I hope you will continue to use it year after year by re-dyeing it.
