Reproduction of sake brewery aprons from the first year of the Keicho era to the Showa era

One day last year, we received an email from Mr. K from Mie, who is said to be a regular reader of our website.
"Is it possible to reproduce the aprons from my family's sake brewery in Mikawa, Aichi Prefecture, which produced sake from 1604 to 1926?"
The inquiry was, "I would like to distribute these when all my relatives gather together."

apron If there are any documents remaining about aprons,
I would love to see it...
When I searched for it, this photo came up.
This is a wonderful photo from the Taisho era, showing employees wearing sake brewery aprons to commemorate winning an award at a sake tasting competition.
It was made under the brand name "Katsuhomare."
That's what they say.

apron We immediately started by creating a design at our company while looking at photos.
We recreated the original "hige-moji" as closely as possible by looking at photographs, and then dyed the aprons.

apron Thank you for the rewarding story,
Since this is the first time we've recreated this apron in decades, we decided to send it by courier...
With that in mind, I headed directly to deliver it to Mr. K in Mie.

apron All of the relatives were amazed and delighted to see the apron of victory recreated for the first time in decades.
I received an email from Mr. K in Mie saying, "My dream has come true!"

"The apron has been revived after a long time! It's a dream come true."
That's great. Thank you very much!
