120 Aprons from 100 years ago to the present! "Japanese Aprons Exhibition"

From precious aprons from 100 years ago to Japanese aprons currently used in restaurants around the world.

Masao Ota, Japan's number one aprons collector, has a collection of over 400 pieces,
We collected a total of 120 aprons made by Anything and held the "Japanese Aprons Exhibition."

The first venue was Tsugane School, a former elementary school built in the Meiji era in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture that has been turned into a museum.
In an atmosphere that is perfect for wearing an apron, we will introduce the history of Japanese commerce as seen through an apron,
The program introduced modern aprons and traditional manufacturing methods (for two months from October to November 2014).

Masao Ota (Photographer)
Born in Shizuoka in 1949. After graduating from Waseda University, he spent a long time wandering around and became a photographer at the age of 36.
Currently, he works as a photographer while also collecting art.

His works include the photo book "Accumulus" (Super Edition).

Kazuhiro Nishimura, Apron Anything (Koganei City, Tokyo)
Founded in 2000, the company produces traditional Japanese aprons in Koganei, Tokyo. Working with artisans from Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, the company has held solo exhibitions in places like New York. The company has been featured on television and in magazines many times as a company that has breathed new life into the aprons, which were on the verge of extinction.
