About Anything's Maekake Aprons

The "Maekake" apron is a traditional workwear that has been used since the Edo period. By tying the waist string tightly, it tightens the hip bones and protects the lower back.
At our factory in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, shuttle looms manufactured by Toyota and Suzuki 100 years ago are still in active use, and skilled craftsmen carefully weave the fabric.

Care Instructions

・Due to the nature of the material, there may be weaving irregularities and thread knots.
・There is a risk of color transfer to other fabrics due to friction, etc.
・Do not use bleach or fabric softener when washing.
・Do not wash with hot water.
・Avoid using a tumble dryer.
・Due to the nature of the fabric, it may shrink slightly after washing.
・If the weft thread frays in the fringe area, gently pull the thread to the edge of the fabric and cut it with scissors to stop it.
