My wife and I visited Tokyo for the first time in 2012. At that time, 90 % of Japanese restaurants in Paris only served sushi and yakitori. Ramen was not popular and the few ramen I had were not very tasty ... However, during our stay in Tokyo, I was surprised by the tonkotsu ramen I had for the first time at Keika Ramen in Shinjuku, and it made me realize that real ramen is delicious!
I tried many different kinds of ramen during my time in Japan and it has become my favorite Japanese food. It's cheap, comforting, and has a variety of flavors - it's just perfect!
In 2016 , we designed several products with the tagline "Ramen Lovers Club" to show our love for ramen. We made t- shirts, patches, and stickers. We couldn't believe how popular everything was!
Ramen is slowly becoming more popular in France. More and more great restaurants are opening up, which makes me very happy!
In 2021 , I released a collection of t -shirts and posters called " Ramen is Love ", which has become my best-selling series to date. I'm so happy that so many people love ramen! When I became a vegetarian in 2024 , I was worried that I wouldn't be able to eat ramen. But it's okay, because there are so many ways to make veggie and vegan ramen!
Making homemade noodles and soup with my 6 year old son at home is a wonderful way to spend time together as a family. From now on, I will be using this apron to make ramen!
