Collaboration No. 2 Fabric Hiroshima Toyo Carp 2026

This collaboration MAEKAKE with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp was created to coincide with the "Hiroshima Maekake Exhibition" held in August 2026.

Featuring Carp Boy, "Since 1949," and the large word "Hiroshima," this design is filled with affection for Hiroshima.
We have transformed the "Maekake," a traditional Japanese work apron, into a piece with true Carp spirit.

It can be worn as an apron, but we also recommend using our special hanger to display it on your wall as a tapestry.

The apron fabric is Anything's standard #2 canvas. It is thick and durable, yet characterized by a soft and supple texture from the very first use.
The design is screen-printed, making it resistant to fading even after washing.

It will be delivered in an original apron-style package made from a rice bag. It is perfect for yourself or as a gift.

About Anything's Maekake

The "Maekake" is a traditional work apron that has been used since the Edo period. Tying the waist strap firmly helps support the pelvis and protect the lower back.
At our own factory in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, shuttle looms made by Toyota and Suzuki 100 years ago are still in active operation, with craftsmen carefully weaving the fabric.

Care Instructions

• Due to the nature of the material, there may be slight weave irregularities or knots.
• Friction or other causes may lead to color transfer to other fabrics.
• Do not use bleach or fabric softener when washing.
• Do not wash in warm water.
• Avoid using a tumble dryer.
• Due to the nature of the fabric, some shrinkage may occur after washing.
• If threads fray from the fringe, gently pull the thread to the edge of the fabric and trim it with scissors to stop further fraying.
