■Note: Depending on stock availability, delivery may take approximately two months depending on the size.
A tailored jacket made using the original fabric "AOFUJI," woven on an N-type shuttle loom made in 1917.
The warp threads are made of the same thick cotton threads used for sail aprons, while the weft threads are made of silk, wool, and cotton spun using a rare spinning method at a domestic spinning mill. The jacket is sewn at Motomiya Santo Suits, a suit factory in Motomiya City, Fukushima Prefecture, founded in 1906, to create a jacket that allows you to feel the original characteristics and texture of the material.
The silk is also produced sustainably at the Miyasaka Silk Mill, one of Japan's last remaining silk mills in Okaya, Nagano Prefecture. The material is made from cocoons that were discarded during the silk thread manufacturing process due to their irregular shape or holes. The knots and irregular fibers give the fabric a different appearance from traditional, uniform silk.
The indigo dyeing is done by Kenta Watanabe, an indigo dyer and dyer who is involved in everything from indigo cultivation to dyeing in Kamiita Town, Tokushima Prefecture. The result is a beautifully finished product with deep, vibrant colors.
The fabric is made on a shuttle loom, giving it a light weight and a comfortable fit. Each natural fiber has high moisture absorption and release properties, making it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
