Godzilla Sofubi Finishing Performance
The "Godzilla Maekake" is popular both domestically and internationally.
The design was created by Takashi Yoshizaka of the jewelry brand "haraKIRI." While mainly working with silver accessories, he has recently also been involved in coloring and finishing "kaiju sofubi".

This event will focus on Mr. Yoshizaka's expression as a sofubi colorist.
You can watch the Godzilla sofubi wipe-finishing performance up close at the store.
*The figures used on the day will differ from the Anything apron specifications.
Marusan's Godzilla sofubi will be painted, wipe-finished, and transformed into a special piece by Mr. Yoshizaka's hands.
Even with the same base figure, the overlapping colors, shadows, and differences in texture give the sofubi a completely different presence. Please come to the venue to see the process of Godzilla being finished by Mr. Yoshizaka's hands.

Takashi Yoshizaka

Jewelry designer, Sofubi colorist, etc.
Born in Kiyose City, Tokyo in 1973.
As a boy, he was deeply immersed in making Gundam models, but spent most of his waking hours watching Western movies.
Perhaps due to the second baby boom, he couldn't get into any universities despite wanting to study there, so he entered an art vocational school and spent his youth working part-time at a movie theater in Hibiya.
After that, he joined "Takatsu Soubisha Co., Ltd.," which handles props for movies, theater, and TV, and learned a lot about the entertainment industry and the mechanisms of business in the world.
After about 15 years of service, he became independent to realize his long-held life motto of "my salary should be earned by myself, not received from someone else," which was based on no particular reason.
At his mother's suggestion, he began working as a jewelry designer, making accessories as a hobby for himself.
Fashion-related people he met through his personal interest and frequent visits greatly helped him, and "haraKIRI" launched in 2003.
It was around this time that he met Takahiro Aihara of Roen, who later became his mentor in design and from whom he learned a great deal.
Around the same time, despite being ridiculed by the fashion industry, he actively challenged tie-ups with Heisei Kamen Rider in theatrical use and collaborations with anime content, relentlessly pursuing his "likes."
Perhaps as a result, in 2022, he received an offer to color and release a special color version of the base figures from the long-established sofubi brand "Marusan." He colored and finished the very popular character "Hedorah," which became a huge hit, and since then he has also been involved in coloring kaiju sofubi.
He also creates accessories of the Shakoki Dogu, a symbol of Jomon culture, an ancient Japanese civilization, and sells them at the museum shop inside the Tokyo National Museum. He is engaged in a wide range of creative activities, not limited to jewelry and sofubi coloring.
His motto is "Let them say what they like!"
