The Apron Exhibition will be held at Kinokuniya New York from October 13th to November 6th, 2011, marking its third year.
I went to the event.
We also held a hands-on event at Kinokuniya New York on Sunday, October 16th.
Right now, there are 'demonstrations' taking place in New York against the wealth gap between the wealthy 1% and the 99% of the population.
It was a very exciting journey.
Many people participated in the workshop again this time. The number of regulars who have been attending since three years ago is increasing.
Every year, Mr. Kado helps us out on site.
And this time, Natsuko-san jumped in to help out. Thank you very much.

Hello Kitty is very popular in New York! This time, the apron was unveiled for the first time.

Historical aprons and recent aprons with designs are on display.

The "Shi" apron remains the most popular!
In addition, in front of "Seigaiha," designed by designer Yukie Kaneko, with the theme of the sea after 3/11,
Some customers were even moved to tears.

This is a photo of the protesters passing in front of the Kinokuniya main store. "WE ARE 99%!"

Other people who helped me and my activities in New York
We also assisted one of our clients in hosting a New York performance to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Museum.
The Japan Society's Japanese-American high school student exchange program was also sponsored by the Consulate.
200 New York high school students who had thoroughly studied Japanese history gathered together and had a discussion with three selected high school students from Kochi.

In the evening, a talk event about Ryoma was held, organized by Anything, in collaboration with Weekly NY Lifestyle and JaNet.
The photo shows Director Mori of the Ryoma Memorial Museum. It was a very moving event, which was realized together with the people of New York.
It was a huge success with standing room only.

I bumped into designer Yumi Katsura. It was a short conversation, but we had a great time.

Finally... to all of our friends in New York who support Anything.
From left: Fumiko, Kado, Yuko (and President Tomita from Toyama).
Every year, meeting these close friends helps me to release the tension in my mind.
I really appreciate the help.

*My camera broke mid-take so I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures.
Thank you very much again this time!
