Let's all give a portrait apron to our seminar teacher♪

Professor Matsuo teaches business administration at Tokyo Metropolitan University.
One Saturday, two fourth-year students from Professor Matsuo's seminar visited the Anything shop and asked for their advice, saying, "We want to give you a special surprise present for your birthday!"

When I receive such consultations, I suddenly feel motivated.

Do you have a photo of the teacher?

"I just brought my laptop with me! I have some photos from when my professor took me on an overseas study tour for our seminar."

"Well, it would be nice to put a portrait in the middle then!"

We discussed what kind of surprise we could give to the teacher while looking at the design screen.
This apron is finished!

Two weeks later, it's finally time for the teacher's birthday party.

And then, the day of the birthday party.

The unveiling was finally made, with past and present seminar students and alumni in attendance.
The students carefully wrapped the gift, and when I opened the apron "Oyaji Box"...

Oh? The inside is... an apron!?

By the way, the portrait was drawn by illustrator Ussy Ushioda by looking at a photograph.
This is then made into a plate, printed, and finished.

So, how did the teacher feel about this surprise gift...?

The answer is in the next photo!

Look at this amazing smile of Professor Matsuo! It's great!

Along with "Reihachi Matsuo Room," "Goodbye Capri" and "Nice to meet you Pom" are written on the left and right sides of the portrait, and are the names of restaurants that Professor Matsuo likes and that he often goes to with his seminar class.
It seems that "Capri" is closing and "Pomme" will be taking care of them from now on.

○I received an email from Mr. Sugiura, the organizer of this gift event, so I would like to introduce it to you.
``Thank you for the other day.''
All the seminar students are very grateful that you were so willing to listen to our difficult requests.

I gave my teacher an apron as a birthday present, and he was very happy and thankful.
I felt that there was something very meaningful about giving one thing to this world.
Thank you very much.”

Mr. Sugiura, the surprise was a success! Thank you very much.
