At the annual end-of-year mochi-pounding event held by the Kagami-Kai mochi-pounding club in San Francisco (USA).
Kai is 4 years old, before the mochi-pounding ceremony.

★Kai-kun, put on the kids' apron and see if you can make the mochi well! (Apron supervisor: Shiota)

We had a semi-custom made kids apron made!





The man giving the thumbs up while the rice cakes are being pounded is the musician Kitaro.
It was a very extravagant mochi-pounding event!
