Soba restaurant Hoteiya's 90th anniversary commemorative apron

YAB0778.jpg
We were asked to create an apron to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Hoteiya, a store in Sangenjaya, Tokyo, which was founded in 1925.

DSC03835.JPG When they visited the Anything office in February of this year, they told us how they wanted to celebrate their 90th anniversary by having the whole family wear matching aprons and eat soba noodles to express their gratitude to their customers.

After repeated meetings, the design was decided upon, and in the center of the apron we included the character "heart" written in calligraphy by the mother, which is also displayed inside Hoteiya's store.

DSC03820.JPG On July 17, 2015, we visited Hoteiya on their 90th anniversary celebration.
As this was the first time the aprons were shown off, we received kind words from the store staff such as "Thank you for the wonderful aprons!"

Thank you very much for allowing me to make this apron filled with so much thought.
